HISTORY
Russell
S. Platamone established RSP Productions, Inc. in January of 1989 and is
located in Simi Valley, California.
During
the past twenty-eight years of professional service, Russell has offered services
in producing, directing, writing, editing, cinematography, engineering and
sound production.
Currently
and during the past eleven years, Russell has been the director of photography
for DVD Special Features produced by Light Source and Imagery for Paramount
Pictures, Sony Pictures, Warner Brothers, and MGM Studios including the
continuing television series of Crime Scene Investigation, CSI Miami, CSI New
York, NCIS, NCIS L.A., Ghost Whisperer and Everybody Hates Chris. Also included in the DVD Productions are over
one hundred and thirty additional movie and television releases.
Additionally,
he has shot commercials, television drama series, epk’s, behind the scenes,
documentaries, concerts, infomercials, fashion, television news, theater,
internet broadcast, award shows, vehicle and motorcycle racing, parades, sports
events, aerial photography, jib arm and helmet photography.
From
2001 to 2007 Russell was the director of a three camera live production for the
Grammy Sound Table produced each year at the NAM Convention. Russell has produced and directed commercials,
product presentations, safety and educational programs.
RSP
Productions, Inc. offers several camera packages including HD Cam, XD Cam, DVC
Pro, HDV, Digibeta and Beta SP formats with lighting, sound and grip
packages. The equipment is transported
on two liberator custom carts designed to quickly exit the production van and
roll through any door or elevator for quick and controlled productions. RSP also offers professional crews with high
standards and dependability.
For
six years prior to RSP Productions, Inc., Russell was the Vice President of
Siegel and Associates. Russell produced,
directed and edited numerous commercial, corporate and safety programs and
managed the film and videotape distribution side of the business.
Prior
to embarking into the entertainment business, he worked ten years in public
service for the City of Inglewood and four years in the retail food industry
attaining management positions in both.
During
three successful careers, Russell has received professional awards,
commendations and acknowledgements for services he has performed.
Russell
has dedicated hundreds of community volunteer hours including fifteen years
with the Simi Valley School District and seventeen years with the American Youth
Soccer Organization. Russell is
currently serving as the Simi Valley Regional Commissioner, Section 10 Area E Safety Director and an Advanced Management Instructor for the AYSO Organization. He is also a member of the
Simi Valley Police Foundation Business Associate Round Table and Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce.
